The “Gray Scott battle” school at LAPP – From 10 to 13 July 2023

From 10 to 13 July 2023, LAPP will host the Gray Scott Battle, a school of programming and optimisation on heterogeneous architectures.

The school will deal with the optimisation of calculations on different types of hardware (CPU, GPU), presenting their respective characteristics, architectures and bottlenecks. It will focus on generic optimisation methods applicable to all types of hardware, and on the different libraries, technologies and languages available to achieve the best possible performance. The IN2P3 School of Particle Physics, known as the “École de Gif”, is the oldest of the IN2P3’s thematic schools. The 2023 edition is organised by the LAPP and the LAPTh and will be held in Annecy from 18 to 22 September. The school content will be exclusively in French.

The Fête de la Science is back at LAPP and LAPTh!

The Fête de la Science is back at LAPP and LAPTh from 7 to 13 October 2023, for the Fête de la Science, LAPP, LAPTh and ULISSE open the doors of the CNRS campus in Annecy. Join us on 7 and 8 October for a weekend open to the general public, and the following week for school groups.

The programm includes visits, discussions, workshops… There will be discoveries for young and old alike, in celebration of the Year of Physics.
