International Day of Women and Girls in Science
The 11th of February was the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. An opportunity to remember that at LAPP, women are present in all trades of research and research support. Administrative officers, engineers, researchers, teachers-researchers and technicians, one third of LAPP’s employee are women.

Women have also been honored during the past year since two CNRS medals and the Joliot-Curie prize of the French Society of Physics were awarded to two female researchers and one female engineer from LAPP.
In the week leading up to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, several researchers from the laboratory took part in schools and high schools in Haute-Savoie to present their work to young people. A good way to encourage some scientific vocations!
