The discrepancies in b → s semileptonic decays : a complete study from model-building aspects, to the definition of novel observables, to their measurement with the LHCb detector.

Runs 1 and 2 of the LHCb experiment at CERN reported interesting tensions with the Standard Model. The concerned data involve b-quark to s-quark transitions, known to be particularly sensitive to new physics. The aim of the thesis is, on the one hand, to study the global interpretation of these results and especially their prediction in terms of lepton flavor violation. On the other hand, LHCb data will be studied for the search of decays similar to those involved in the aforementioned tensions.
